Dowling’s at The Carlyle
The Caryle, the New York relic next to Central Park, refurbished their downstairs dining room into “Dowlings at The Carlyle” in 2021 which is a go-to for an elevated yet sultry evening. The eclectic space, designed by William Paley, houses more than 200 pieces of art. Some of these works are by Ludwig Bemelman who also illustrated the designs on the walls of Bemelman’s, The Carlyle’s iconic bar.
