Suvretta Stube: The lower restaurant at Suvretta House. We initially planned to dine at the Grand Restaurant (the primary restaurant at Suvretta House), but had a mix up and ended up dining at their lesser known, slightly more relaxed Suvretta Stube. Though still upscale, Suvretta Stube provided a cozier, more relaxed setting, allowing us to dive into deep conversations over equally amazing food. We ended the night grateful for the mix up.
La Coupole within Badrutt’s Palace: Orchestrated by the renowned Nobuyuki Matsuhisa of Nobu Restaurants, La Coupole showcased the impeccable skill of its chefs, leaving an indelible mark on our palates and reaffirming Matsuhisa’s global influence. Post-dinner, we ventured to the cigar room within Badrutt’s Palace, indulging in moments of refined relaxation.
Da Adriano: A bastion of culinary tradition within Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski. While the fare was satisfactory, it did lack the distinctive quality that set apart our other St. Moritz dining experiences. Nonetheless, the ambiance was enjoyable, punctuated by a comically oversized pepper shaker that elicited smiles as we savored our truffle-laden pasta.
Kulm Hotel: While exploring the town of St. Moritz, we paused here for an early evening snack. Though we did not partake in a full dinner, the Kulm’s iconic arched windows, paired with their magnificent red velvet chairs, and the luxurious allure of the establishment left an undeniable impression, beckoning us to return for more.
Engiadina: This beloved fondue haven captured our hearts with its rustic charm and generations of culinary excellence. Amidst laughter and companionship, we indulged in exactly what we needed after a day of Snowmobiling – lots of cheese and meat. Breaking out in song with fellow diners added to the ecstasy of the evening, creating memories we will hold for quite some time.
Chesa Veglia: Housed within a centuries-old building, Chesa Veglia is a historic pizzeria steeped in tradition. This hidden gem has many different, almost camouflaged rooms, and a balcony level in the main dining room to watch the open kitchen below. We were inclined to capture this rare establishment in its entirety, but respected the restaurant’s wishes for no extensive filming. It’s almost nice to keep this one a bit to ourselves as it was just that special.
